About James Luce

James Luce & Clarice Assad at WNYC's Greene Space

After 25 years on the air as program host of jazz and classical music programs, beginning in 1998, James Luce spearheaded a decade-long series of globally-distributed, award-winning documentaries in partnerships with WBGO-FM in Newark, New Jersey, WTRI in Philadelphia, Public Radio International in Minneapolis, The American Jazz Museum in Kansas City, and National Public Radio in New York and Washington, DC. These programs told the definitive stories of several of the most prominent American musicians of all time - on the occasions of the centennial celebrations of their births.
